Superb close-up shooting performance
While designed for telephoto shooting, this lens features a 10cm minimum focus distance. This flexibility enables close up shooting.
- 35mm equivalent
Angle of view | Working distance | Closest focusing distance | Maximum image magnification (values in parentheses are 35mm equivalent) |
---|---|---|---|
Wide angle | Approx. 10cm | Approx. 22cm | 0.1x (0.2x) |
Telephoto | Approx. 50cm | Approx. 70cm | 0.23x (0.46x) |
Compact, lightweight system perfect for carrying
This 12-200mm lens is compact and lightweight at approximately 455 g. The total weight when paired with the OM-D E-M5 Mark II is approximately 925 g. This design makes it perfectly portable when carried while attached to a camera.
Reliable splash & dust proof construction
Enjoy peace of mind in any shooting environment with the same high level of splash and dust proof performance as the M.Zuiko PRO series.
High-speed, high-precision AF
The inner focusing system uses a single lightweight cemented lens for focusing. Resulting in reliable, high-speed, high-precision AF performance. Shooting lag time is reduced, meaning you will always be ready for that split second opportunity.
Superb optical design
Olympus engineered lenses are placed in an effective arrangement for a compact form and excellent depictive performance across the entire zoom range.
Excellent depictive performance
Two super ED lenses and two ED lenses are used to thoroughly suppress chromatic aberration fluctuations that occur across the entire zoom range. Three aspherical lenses are also placed in effective locations to suppress curvature of field and distortion fluctuations due to zoom changes. ZERO Coating reduces ghosts and thoroughly suppresses flares, which are the cause of reduced contrast, for a rich range of tonal expression.
Clear, bright depictive performance across the entire frame
A superb optical design suppresses peripheral light fall-off and delivers clear depictive performance to the edges of the screen.
Minimal angle of view shift even when changing the focal point
Angle of view shift is minimised even when the focal point is changed. This is particularly useful when recording videos.
