Olympus 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 OM Systems Lens
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS is a versatile lens that offers telephoto shooting capabilities ranging from 200-800mm equivalent1 on its own. When combined with the optional M.Zuiko Digital 1.4x Teleconverter MC-14 or the M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20, the lens can achieve up to 1600mm equivalent1 super telephoto shooting. This extended range allows photographers to capture subjects such as birds that are challenging to approach, providing unique zooming capabilities and delivering a flattening effect characteristic of super telephoto lenses.
In addition to its impressive telephoto capabilities, this lens offers a closest focusing distance of 1.3m across the entire zoom range. It also boasts a maximum image magnification of 0.57x, enabling superb telemacro performance for photographing small subjects like insects and flowers. The lens supports Focus Stacking, a feature that captures multiple shots at different focal positions and automatically combines them into a single photo with a large depth of field, ensuring sharpness from the foreground to the background.
To ensure exceptional image quality, the optical system of the lens incorporates four ED lenses to suppress color bleeding, two Super HR lenses, and two HR lenses for bright and clear depiction throughout the entire zoom range. Additionally, the lens utilizes ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating to minimize ghosts and flares, resulting in clear image quality even in challenging conditions like backlit scenes. Furthermore, the lens features extensive hermetic sealing on the entire lens barrel, providing the same high level of dustproof and splashproof performance as the M.Zuiko PRO series. This ensures peace of mind when shooting in any environment.
