Hahnel Viper TTL – Canon

The Hahnel Viper TTL – Canon is an essential accessory for professional photographers seeking to elevate their lighting setup. Designed for use with the “Viper TTL Transmitter” or “Modus 600RT,” this receiver simplifies the process of controlling your Speedlights and studio lights.

To get started, simply attach your Speedlight to the hot shoe on the Viper TTL receiver, and select the desired group (A, B, or C) using the group switch. Turn on the Viper TTL receiver, indicated by a flashing green light, and then power on your Speedlight. Press the “Test” button on the receiver to confirm that your Speedlight is working seamlessly.

For a more secure wireless connection and to avoid external interference, you can utilize the Digital Channel Matching (DCM) feature. This technology ensures that your Viper TTL transmitter and receiver communicate flawlessly. The DCM setup process is straightforward, involving a few simple steps.

Additionally, you can connect studio lights to the Viper TTL receiver using a “Hähnel Studio Light Cable,” available as a separate accessory. The receiver supports an unlimited number of Speedlights or studio lights across various groups, providing you with flexibility in your lighting configurations.

The Viper TTL Receiver is compatible with Nikon Speedlights, allowing you to optimize your lighting for different setups. Furthermore, if you wish to use third-party Speedlights that aren’t E-TTL or i-TTL compatible, you can easily switch the receiver to Group “C” while resetting it to the “open channel.”
